The Verdict is In

Well, we have decided on Texas A&M. There are several factors that helped us make the decision and we really feel like it is the best choice, but we are so sad to that we will be so far away from both of our families (but we'll actually be closer to some!). This will definitely be a big adventure for us and I think it will be a good experience for our little family. I'm going to College Station tomorrow to search for housing for a few days, so I sure I hope I can find something good.

Picture Tag

So I thought this was fitting due to the previous post. Go to your 6th picture folder and find the 6th picture . . .

A Child's Prayer

Ok, I'm sorry if I let the title betray you, but this post is actually a little gross . . . but pretty funny. Luke has started wanting to say his own prayers and this means that he usually goes on for about 5 minutes saying thank you for everything in sight. Today he happened to be picking his nose (what can I say, he's a little boy) while he was praying and when he found 'something' he said, "Thank you for the Booger."

Changes and Fear

David has now heard back from 3 of the 4 schools he applied too. He has been accepted to Texas A&M and ASU! Sadly, he was rejected from BYU (our top choice), and Syracuse is on hiatus (we haven't heard anything back from them, but we have ruled them out anyways). I am so proud of him, for all of his hard work, for his dedication and devotion to his family. I think I could go on and on about why he is such a good husband and father . . . I am just so grateful for him. With his acceptance to these two schools means we will have some big changes in our lives. While I'm excited about moving forward I am actually starting to feel very anxious and a little scared. I have become very comfortable with our life here and I really will be sad to leave. We love living so close to David's parents and Luke loves his Paki and Omi so much. We love that he can have that kind of relationship with his grandparents. I'm scared to have to start over and make new friends. Texas is really a perfect fit for David and he's been offered a scholarship so it is actually affordable. ASU is a great school, but the program doesn't fit his interests as much and tuition is about 3 times as much as A&M . . . but my family lives in Mesa and I really want to be near family. We have big decisions and honestly I'm scared, but I feel like Heavenly Father has truly guided our lives so far and I know he will continue to do so. Pray for us!

What does your life look like at 7:30 on a Saturday morning???

Dave and I have asked ourselves what we used to do before we had children . . . sleep in til 10 or 11am, hang out all day doing almost nothing, go out to dinner with out making any plans before hand. We wouldn't change our lives now for anything though . . . I might change getting to sleep all night long, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing.
